Research Assistant in Metabolic Medicine

Research Assistant I/II in Metabolic Medicine in the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine and the State Key Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology (Ref.: 518688) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis or one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Biomedical/Biological Sciences, Public Health, or other related disciplines.  They should have a good command of written and spoken Chinese (including Cantonese) and English; good interpersonal and management skills; a strong sense of responsibility; and the ability to multi-task and work independently.

The appointee will work on a clinical trial with overweight and obese individuals with prediabetes.  He/She will assist in project management, recruitment of participants, data collection and analysis, and perform other duties as assigned.  5.5 working days per week is required.  Enquiries about the duties of the post should be sent to Dr. C. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment on fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
