Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Neurology of the Department of Medicine (Ref.: 503130) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Healthcare or Medical Engineering disciplines.  They should have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; and IT proficiency.  They should be responsible, ethical, self-motivated, detail-minded, and able to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team.  Experience in clinical, and in particular, neuroimaging research would be an advantage.  Those with higher qualifications and/or more experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I.

The appointee will predominantly be working on a number of projects related to neuroimaging and brain health led by the Stroke Research and Prevention Group at HKU (HKU Stroke).  He/She will be responsible for in-depth analysis of neuroimaging, in particular magnetic resonance imaging (MRI); running of clinical studies; data collection through administration of questionnaires; and writing up the results.  Training opportunities related to the use of artificial intelligence in the healthcare setting will be provided where necessary.
