At the University of Göttingen -Public Law Foundation-, Institut für Numerische und Angewandte Mathematik, there is a position as
to be filled. Starting date is 10/1/2026. The position is limited to 3 years.
Your responsibilities
• Assisting with courses in accordance with Section 31 of the NHG and with examinations
• Contributing to one of the Institute of Numerical and Applied Mathematics’ key research areas
Your profile
• A degree (Diplom or Master’s) in Mathematics or a related discipline
• A basic knowledge of and interest in optimisation and variational analysis
• Basic knowledge of algorithms
• Relevant language skills in German (teaching) and English (international communication)
• Experience in teaching, scientific publishing and numerical software development is also desirable
The position is intended to support the professional development of early-career researchers and offers the opportunity to pursue a PhD. The position is suitable for part-time work.
