Research Assistant I/II (2 posts) in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (Ref.: 500432) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Medicine, Biology or other related disciplines, preferably with 3 years’ post-qualification research experience. They should have proficiency in written and spoken English, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.  Experience in mouse or rat husbandry and surgery is desirable. The appointees will conduct research on mechanisms of biologics in modifying joint disease, which involve processing of human clinical samples, primary cell culture, gene editing, and other general molecular experiments. They will also be responsible for data collection and analysis, and assist in laboratory management.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
