Research Assistant I in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 502921) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree or above in public health, nursing, health sciences or medicine-related disciplines, with at least 1 year’s work experience in clinical or community-based research. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese), good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, and a strong sense of responsibility. They should be highly motivated, attentive to details, and able to multi-task and work independently. Experience in recruiting participants from the community and organizing clinical follow-ups with blood collection is highly preferred.

The appointee will work on a randomized controlled trial and a population-based cohort of older adults. He/She will coordinate projects, recruit participants on both HKU campuses and in the community, collect data through face-to-face and/or telephone interviews, manage and analyse data, liaise and collaborate with various parties, and perform administrative tasks and other duties as assigned. Irregular working hours and outdoor work may be required occasionally. This post will provide excellent practical experience in the fields of medicine and public health.
