RF/mm-wave IC Designer

Job Description:

- The position involves designing RFIC and MMIC from concept through to finished products.

- The candidate shall participate as a team player in research and development of the first-pass RFIC building blocks such as PA, LNA, VGA, VCO, etc. with state of the art performance.

- The candidate will be responsible for the complete RFIC design cycle including circuit schematic entry, post-layout corner simulations, on-wafer IC validation and trouble-shooting.

- The candidate will prepare technical reports and top journal papers.

Essential Experience/Skills:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in designing RFIC and/or MMIC to operate at high frequencies in GHz to THz range.

- Experience with RF simulation tools mainly Cadence Design Environment (Virtuoso, Spectre-RF, etc.) and EM solvers (Keysight ADS Momentum, Ansys HFSS, etc.) is necessary.

- In-depth understanding of RFIC custom layout techniques and on-wafer testing.

- Must have been involved in several successful RFIC tapeouts.

- Experience in recent RF process technologies (CMOS, SiGe BiCMOS, GaN, etc.) is strongly desired.

- Familiar with PCB design for RF applications including effects of EMC, ESD, etc. is desirable.

- Self-motivated with capability of diligently planning own work to meet the project deadlines.

- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.

- Excellent verbal and written fluency in English is essential.


- A Bachelor/Master's degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
