Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 500356) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Social Sciences, Social Work, Political Science, Sociology, Economics, or related disciplines. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, a strong sense of responsibility, and adequate knowledge of statistical methods and quantitative research.  They should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, good interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work independently, and be able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.  Previous work experience in research projects is also preferable, but not essential.

The appointee will work on research projects related to social welfare policies, poverty issues, migration policies, and family well-being in East Asia and Southeast Asia. The appointee will be responsible for data collection and analysis, data management, literature searches, literature review, report writing, and perform other assigned research-related duties.
