The Electrochemical Science & Engineering research group are looking to hire a researcher to develop reduced order models for lithium-ion batteries from physical models. Models are required to estimate the state of health of lithium ion batteries, and control them on- and offline. This post is funded by the Faraday Institution as part of the Multi-Scale Modelling project to develop the next generation of battery packs and battery management systems to improve performance and lifetime.
Our research group is interdisciplinary, and is currently spread across four different departments within Imperial College London. We work at the interface between science and engineering of electrochemical devices. With over 50 postdoctoral & postgraduate researchers, we are a vibrant, collaborative and inclusive team with multiple industrial and academic collaborators.
This is a fixed term position for up to 24 months.
Candidates who have not yet been officially awarded their PhD will be appointed as a Research Assistant within the salary range £36,045 - £39,183 per annum.
