Position Summary

Applications are invited for a Research Associate (postdoctoral) position at Michigan State University working with Prof. Jay Strader on observations of compact objects in Milky Way globular clusters. The position will mainly focus on optical and X-ray data analysis, and candidates with a background in these areas are especially encouraged to apply.

The initial appointment will be for one year, but renewal may be possible for up to two additional years dependent on performance and funding. The start date is expected to be in Aug 2021.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree in Astronomy, Astrophysics, or related field by the appointment start date.
