Position Summary
FlyBase (https://flybase.org) at Indiana University seeks a Computer Developer Research Assistant.
The selected candidate will be responsible for working with the FlyBase web development group to create, maintain and extend all aspects of the public interface of FlyBase database and website. Responsibilities include the development and maintenance of code, and developing, using and maintaining data pipelines. The selected candidate will also work with the development team to improve or develop new solutions to meet project goals, including managing software and hardware subscriptions and helping with budget tasks. The initial appointment is for one year, renewable annually based on satisfactory performance.

Salary and Rank | : Starting at $80,000 and up dependent on experience, plus benefits

Basic Qualifications
BA or BS degree and strong background in computer science.
Must be well organized, detail-oriented, have strong interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively with minimal supervision. Must also have experience with Javascript and knowledge of a coding language such as a Perl and Python. Experience with React or similar application and some knowledge of system administration are pluses.
