Research Associate in Department of Psychiatry

The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Research Associate positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of research in psychiatry. Candidate must be sponsored by a funded program. Applicants must have an M.D and/or Ph.D or equivalent degree.

Responsibilities may include helping to lead studies of the presentation and treatment of psychiatric disorders, manuscript and grant proposal writing and submission, and other duties as assigned by principal investigators of the studies on which the research associate is working.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to receive mentorship in grant writing and grant proposals suitable to early-stage academic investigators.
