The Microwave Research Lab (MWLab) at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey invites applications for a Post Doctoral Associate for research in microwave and millimeter-wave integrated circuits (IC) and systems.

The Postdoc is expected to conduct high quality research tasks, which entails:

- Design, simulate and evaluate microwave and millimeter-wave integrated circuits (from baseband up to 100 GHz). Design areas will primarily encompass challenging millimeter-wave circuits for transmit and receive paths including both active and passive components.
- Implement circuits using either advanced CMOS technology or high-performance SiGe BiCMOS technology.

The position will be initially filled for 1 year, renewable yearly with a possible extension. The contract includes fringe benefits such as health insurance. The postdoc will work under the supervision of Dr. Chung-Tse Michael Wu.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Physics or a relevant field

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Experience in designing millimeter-wave integrated circuits using advanced CMOS technologies and/or SiGe BiCMOS in microwave and millimeter-wave frequency bands.
- Experience of electromagnetic modelling of integrated inductors, transformers and transmission lines.
- Experience of using circuit design software, such as Cadence, ADS, GoldenGate, as well as EM simulators including HFSS, CST, etc.
- Some knowledge of baseband digital interface.
