Description

The Philadelphia VA Medical Center (PVAMC) and the Department of Neurosurgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff.

This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years).

Expertise is required in the specific area of:

• coding,
• EEG and signals analysis,
• electrophysiology in animal models, and
• neuromodulation.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.

Preferred applicant should have 3–5 years of experience in these areas of expertise.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include working with the Principal Investigator on:

• designing,
• carrying out, and
• analyzing

complex electrophysiological experiments in the area of:

• cognition,
• TBI, and
• PTE.
