Job Purpose

The candidate will play an active role in elevating SUTD’s research agenda and profile by showcasing our research capabilities and forging strategic partnerships with high-level stakeholders from industry, academia, and the Government. He/She will be involved in the formulation, ideation and implementation of key research-related activities, projects and events, and contribute to SUTD's goal as a leading research-intensive global university. The candidate will work in close collaboration with colleagues from offices and departments at SUTD as well as external stakeholders. He/She will also assist in operational and administrative matters.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Take charge of the multitude of functions in research-related activities, projects and events 
• Involve in conceptualization, planning, management, publicity, outreach and implementation of activities, including virtual events
• Co-ordinate and manage the operational and administrative functions to ensure that activities and projects adhered to timeline and deliver efficiently within budget
• Ensure all relevant administrative and logistical processes are complied with
• Facilitate collaboration and maintain partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Perform budgetary planning and procurement activities
• Maintain proper documentation and prepare reports and statistics (written and verbal presentations) to management
• Support the Office in advancing the research agenda of SUTD
• Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned

Requirements

• A recognised university degree in any discipline
• Fresh graduates with relevant skills and/or experience are welcome to apply
• Independent, meticulous and resourceful
• Positive work attitude, results-oriented and good team player
• Strong proficiency in written and spoken English
• Relevant work experience in project/event management is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
