The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of imaging computing and analytics. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.

Responsibilities may include assisting with the development of methods for radiomics and radiogenomics of brain cancer, by utilizing imaging analytics and machine learning methodology. The successful candidate should also possess the appropriate skills for participating in an effort on development of cancer imaging analytics software.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to engage in advanced professional training, which includes academic support activities such as applying for grants, writing manuscripts, and facilitating research to develop candidates in becoming lead independent researchers.

This position is designed to serve as a form of professional training to develop candidates in becoming lead independent researchers. The position will be with the Center for Biomedical Image Computing and Analytics, which is a dynamically growing medical image computing center, involving several laboratories and many collaborators from diverse fields.
