Scientific service in research and teaching; planning and pursuing oft ultrafast spectroscopic experiments of complex materials; sample preparation/characterization; data analysis and development of new analysis procedures; generation of scientific texts and presentations; tasks to obtain additional scientific qualifications (PhD)


Completed university degree in chemistry, physics or material science; solid knowledge of light-matter-interaction, physical properties of solids and/or spectroscopy are necessary; furthermore desirable are practical experience in ultrafast spectroscopy and/or non-linear optics, knowledge of relevant data analysis software (igor, python etc.), experience with sample preparation and characterization, experience in optical/PL spectroscopy with amplified lasersystems.

Teaching experience is welcome! – As teaching is part of the job description, German language skills (or the willingness to achieve them) are highly desired.

Depending on the research focus, it will be possible to achieve a PhD in chemistry or physics within the framework of this position.
