An exciting opportunity exists for a Research Fellow to join the Professorial Academic Unit, based at Peninsula Clinical School, within the Central Clinical School, Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, Monash University. Peninsula Clinical School is one of Victoria’s 15 major metropolitan health services and a teaching hospital affiliated to Monash University. The Academic Unit conducts several research projects relevant to ageing.

You will join a multi-disciplinary research team exploring risk factors and mechanisms underlying dementia. You will undertake analyses to investigate the relationship between childhood cardiometabolic risk factors and mid-life cognitive health. In this role, you will lead the preparation of research papers and be supported to prepare grants in collaboration with the other group members.

To be appointable into this role you will hold an honours degree in the relevant discipline or have equivalent qualifications or research experience or a doctoral qualification in the relevant discipline or closely related field. You will also possess sound knowledge of research methods in epidemiology and biostatistics, clinical or research knowledge in the area of cardiovascular and/or cognitive health and expertise with software such as SAS, STATA or R.

This role is a part-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
