Salary
£30942 to £40322 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited for the above position to work with the Amabilino Research Team and colleagues in the Propulsion Futures Beacon. The multidisciplinary research into organic materials for solar cells has undergone a significant growth and has experts in device fabrication in place to exploit new functional dye molecules, and experts in materials characterisation to explore the structures of the materials. 

The candidate will be expected to be able to prepare, purify and characterise new synthetic dyes using state of the art synthetic methods and analytical techniques. 

Candidates must have significant experience in synthetic organic chemistry, the purification and characterization of new molecules, and specific experience in the preparation of synthetic dyes is desirable. The successful candidate should demonstrate abilities to collaborate in multidisciplinary research teams and projects.  Excellent research techniques and methodologies, communication skills and practice in the application of health and safety measures are essential.

This full-time post is available immediately and will be offered on a fixed-term contract until the end date of 31st July 2021. Job share arrangements may be considered.
