Duties and responsibilities

Designing, conducting, analyzing and publishing pharmacological experiments related to the study of the mechanisms of action of new drugs. Participating in pre-diploma and post-graduate studies at the Department of Pharmacology. Mastering the methodology necessary for experimental work, such as culturing and propagating mammalian tissue cultures, transient and stable cell transfection, DNA and RNA isolation, PCR, qPCR, immunocytochemistry, protein quantification, electrophoretic mobility shift assay, flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy, luciferase reporter assay.

Required qualifications
PhD or an equivalent qualification.
Required experience
  • Experience of working as a researcher for at least 2 years.
  • At least three publications in the international peer-reviewed journals over the last five years. Publications should focus on intercellular communication and the identification of the inflammatory process.
  • Required participation in domestic and international Grants execution within the last 3 years.
  • Experience in supervising theses of the first and second level of higher education.
Required language skills
Proficiency in Estonian and English.
