NYU Shanghai is inviting applications for multiple faculty positions at the ranks of Assistant or Associate Professor in the following areas (or closely related fields):
Biology
Chemistry
Economics
Neural Science
Physics
Social Sciences
Global Public Health
Biostatistics
Social Work
We also welcome faculty whose work crosses disciplinary boundaries, with a focus on health-related research.
Terms of employment at NYU Shanghai are comparable to NYU New York and other U.S. institutions in research start-up funds and compensation. They include housing subsidies and educational subsidies for children. Faculty may have opportunities to spend time at NYU New York and other sites in the NYU Global Network for research and teaching collaborations.
Ph.D. in one of the listed academic areas or a closely related field.
Distinguished records of scholarship, funded research, teaching, and service are desired for mid-career candidates.
Pre-tenure candidates must demonstrate clear potential to achieve similar distinction.
Proven expertise in teaching interdisciplinary scholarship.
