About the Research Group: A-PECS

The A-PECS research group focuses on advanced electrochemical sensing technologies. This position will involve developing novel microneedle-based electrochemical biosensing strategies, with applications in:

  • Plant monitoring (in planta measurements, sap analysis)

  • Health monitoring (interstitial fluid analysis)


Position Overview

The postdoctoral researcher will:

  • Develop high-quality electrochemical analysis strategies using microneedles

  • Initiate and lead new research projects aligned with A-PECS strategic goals

  • Produce academic publications and reports

  • Contribute to grant writing and securing national/international funding

  • Supervise PhD students and team members

  • Participate in teaching and academic service as required

  • Explore the market potential of research outputs


Candidate Profile

Essential:

  • PhD in material science, chemistry, chemical engineering, bioscience engineering, or equivalent experience

  • Strong academic record with publications in high-impact journals

  • Excellent English communication skills

  • Highly motivated, independent, and collaborative

Desirable:

  • Expertise in bio- or photoelectrochemical sensor development
