The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applications for temporary Assistant Research and Associate Research positions (Professional Research Series). The Professional Researcher title is given only to those who engage in independent research equivalent to that required for the Professor series. Appointments are subject to availability of funding and departmental needs. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The number of positions varies depending on the needs of the department. Temporary research positions may vary from part-time to full-time and may range from short term to long term. Applicants must resubmit a new application letter each year beginning November 1 to retain eligibility.

The Department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service.
Applicants must have a PhD (or equivalent) or completed all requirements for a PhD except the dissertation at the time of application in engineering, or the physical or biological sciences.

Desired qualifications include an outstanding research record or demonstrated independent research in the areas of: Computer Engineering, Communications, Control & Signal Processing, or Electronics and Photonics.
