Position Summary

The UNC Department of Neurology seeks a full-time neurologist specializing in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Neuroimmunology.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide state-of-the-art clinical care for MS and other immune-mediated CNS disorders

  • Teach and mentor fellows, residents, and medical students

  • Supervise physician assistants and clinical pharmacists

  • Expand the UNC MS/Neuroimmunology Division’s research portfolio

Division Highlights:

  • Includes the Bodford Family Transverse Myelitis Center

  • Offers the UNC MS/Neuroimmunology Fellowship Program

Minimum Education & Experience

  • MD or DO degree

  • Fellowship trained in MS/Neuroimmunology or Autoimmune Neurology

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurology

  • Eligible for North Carolina medical licensure


Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong neurology clinical skills

  • Experience and interest in providing care to a diverse patient population

  • Demonstrated academic ambition and team-oriented mindset


Special Requirements

  • Not applicable for Campus Security Authority responsibilities

  • Physical/mental requirements as per clinical practice
