The Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology, invites applications for a researcher position at the Department of Physiology, division of Metabolic Physiology, concerns investigations of mechanisms of hormone secretion from pancreatic cells utilizing in vivo models. 

Job assignments

We are looking for a researcher to lead the in vivo metabolic studies in rodent models to study the regulation and secretion of hormones from the endocrine pancreas. The work assignment includes hands on work to study metabolic processes in rodents. The work will also involve study design and dose-response studies

Qualifications

A doctoral degree within the field of Physiology or other relevant field is required.

Extensive experience of in vivo-models and metabolic studies in rodents is required. Extensive experience of working with animals, and study design is vital. Long experience of practical lab work is essential as well as fluency in written and spoken English. Personal qualities including strong self- motivation and good collaborative skills are of importance. We are an international team and documented international research experience is therefore a strength.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability

Employment

The employment is limited (temporary) for 7 months, 20 % of full-time and is placed at the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology. Starting date; as soon as possible or as agreed.
