The University of Luxembourg's Research Group Physics of Advanced Materials is inviting applications for a PhD candidate position under the guidance of Dr. Jörg Baller. The position envisages joint submission of an application for funding of the PhD fellowship under the Industrial Fellowship program of the Luxembourg National Research Fund.
The research project has both aspects of fundamental and applied research in materials science. You will have the chance to conduct advanced research in Experimental Physics at the University of Luxembourg and at a local international company. The project aims to contribute to sustainability by understanding physical processes during processing of recycled PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate). You will conduct research in one or more of the following topics
The work involves lab experiments, data acquisition, validating findings, publishing results, and assisting in workshops.

The yearly gross salary for every PhD at the UL is EUR 40952 (full time).
