Position description

The Translational Imaging Lab at the Department of Radiological Sciences, University of California, Irvine is seeking a qualified and motivated candidate to fill an Professional Researcher (Assistant, Associate, Full Researcher Rank) position to conduct small animal liver/pancreatic cancer studies. This position is an excellent opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary environment and have close interactions with radiologists, oncologists, and endocrinologists. Access is available to four dedicated research scanners, including 3T Philips, 9.4T animal Bruker BioSpin, micro-PET/CT, and a powerful computer-cluster. Collaboration within the medical school allows for ready translation of technical developments into clinical settings.

Applicants must have a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline. Candidates with expertise in small animal MRI and/or imaging data analysis with the related publications are encouraged to apply.

The position will be in the Department of Radiological Sciences and affiliated with Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, University of California, Irvine. The Department of Radiological Sciences provides a rich environment in which faculty, postdocs and graduate/undergraduate students regularly interact and conduct collaborative studies.
