- 50% from the second year onward (part-time, 20 hours/week)
The Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences (FHSE) at the University of Luxembourg brings together expertise from the humanities, linguistics, cognitive sciences, social and educational sciences.
People from across 20 disciplines are working within the Faculty. Along with the disciplinary approach a very ambitious interdisciplinary research culture has been developed. The faculty’s research and teaching focuses on social, economic, political and educational issues with the common goal of contributing to an inclusive, open and resourceful society.
Your role
Provide effective and efficient support for the research activities of the Department and undertake facilitating and liaison activities related to research strategy implementation, funding, and external relationships, as well as contribute to synergies between entities.

Activities:
- Assist the Department’s researchers find, apply for, receive, and manage research funding (e.g. EU and FNR), including support for financial project reporting
- Support dissemination of research activities in academia and society
- Ensure internal cooperation and communication at Department and Faculty level, and with the central research office, other research entities and central services
- Participate actively in meetings and other events related to the mission
- Update Research information for the communication channels of the Department
- Work closely with the existing teams and the research facilitators
Your profile
- University degree or equivalent professional qualification in an area relevant to research management; a background in social sciences or behavioural sciences is considered an asset
- Experience in research and project management, project monitoring, fundraising, budget management, editing of activity reports
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken) and fluent in French and/or German
- Proficiency with modern office software, spread sheets and collaborative platforms (MS Team)
- Team-oriented, diplomatic & able to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment
- Open-minded, proactive, able to multi-task and able to work autonomously
- Welcoming and service oriented attitude
