Position Overview
The Department seeks a zoologist specializing in invertebrates to contribute to teaching, research, and development of zoological topics. The role includes student supervision, grant activity participation, scientific publication, and presenting research results.
Responsibilities
- Conduct scientific research and publish results.
- Teach zoological courses and supervise bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students.
- Develop research methods and contribute to grant applications.
- Participate in international research networks and collaborative projects.
Required Qualifications
- Postgraduate education in ecological and evolutionary biology (zoology, ecology, ethology) focused on invertebrates.
- Long-term postdoctoral or post-PhD internship abroad (minimum 3 months).
- Publication record commensurate with career stage (H-index >10).
- Excellent Czech/Slovak and English (spoken and written).
Preferred / Advantageous Skills:
- Grant preparation experience.
- Teamwork, organizational skills, responsibility.
