Subject Description
Computer and Systems Sciences with orientation in Cybersecurity, focused on:
- Information security policies
- Security culture and employee behavior
- Governance models and frameworks
- Regulatory compliance
- Measurement and evaluation of information security
- Software security
- Management of cyberattacks
Main Responsibilities
The main duties are research, teaching, course development, course responsibility, and supervision primarily for courses within Cybersecurity.
The applicant is expected to strengthen the theoretical foundations and practical relevance of the courses. As part of the Cybersecurity research group, the applicant will also strengthen the group’s theoretical and practical impact.
The employment is divided as 55% research and 45% teaching.
Qualification Requirements
Eligible applicants should hold a PhD in Computer and Systems Sciences, majoring in Cybersecurity, or have equivalent scientific competence.
Priority will be given to applicants who received their PhD or equivalent within seven years before the application deadline. Applicants who received their degree earlier may be considered under special circumstances such as sick leave, parental leave, or similar.
Applicants must have the ability to cooperate with colleagues and possess the abilities required to meet the demands of the position successfully.
Assessment Criteria
Emphasis will be placed on:
- Research skills demonstrated through research, teaching, and supervision
- Teaching proficiency at undergraduate and master’s levels, well-documented and assessable
- A detailed research plan covering the employment period
- Ability to cooperate with colleagues and fellow researchers
- Success in planning, applying for, and obtaining research funding from external sources
- Administrative skills and engagement with society, including dissemination of research and development findings
Merit will be given to candidates who:
- Have completed at least 7.5 higher education credits in teaching and learning, or equivalent
- Have professional-level proficiency in Swedish (demonstrated through teaching experience or language certificate B2 CEFR or higher)
About the Employment
- Temporary position, 4 years, in accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance (1993:100) (HF)
- Purpose: enable the associate senior lecturer to develop independence as a researcher and acquire qualifications for promotion
- Eligible for promotion to Senior Lecturer if requirements are met according to the Higher Education Ordinance and Stockholm University Rules for Recruitment and Promotion of Teachers
Additional Information:
- Candidates without 7.5 higher education credits in teaching must complete such training within the first two years
- Proficiency in Swedish is not required initially, but the applicant must be ready to handle administrative and pedagogical tasks in Swedish after two years
