Senior Research Assistant in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 508755) (to commence in December 2021, or as soon as possible thereafter until August 31, 2024, on a fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary) 

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Education or a related discipline with at least 3 years’ teaching experience in local secondary or primary schools.  Preference will be given to those with a Master’s degree in Education and a recognized teaching qualification.  They should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.  They should also be able to complete multiple assignments concurrently while balancing priorities and meeting deadlines, work independently, as a team, and under pressure, and multi-task. Those with advanced computer skills are highly preferred.   

The appointee will work on a project on learner diversity, with a focus on differentiated instruction, being primarily engaged in education-related activities. The major responsibilities include developing training materials under the guidance of the supervisor and educational trainers, organizing and delivering workshops, and offering professional training on learner diversity and differentiated instruction.  Other duties include providing administrative and managerial support; coordination among schools, team members and project management office; supporting the development of an online planning platform; assisting in the preparation of promotional and dissemination events and materials; assisting in daily operations and performing other duties as assigned. Immediate availability is preferred. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.
