Senior Research Assistant (holding the functional title of Assessment and Evaluation Coordinator) / Research Assistant I in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 503124) (to commence as soon as possible, until December 31, 2021)

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, or a related discipline with at least one year’s post-qualification experience in research related to these fields; or a good Bachelor’s degree in the aforementioned disciplines with at least three years’ post-qualification in research related to these fields.  They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese).  Preferences will be given to those who have experience in undertaking evaluative studies and proficient in statistical data analysis.

The appointee will work in the Jockey Club End-of-Life Community Care Project (JCECC) under the Faculty of Social Sciences.  The project, started in 2015, aimed at improving the quality of end-of-life care, enhancing the capacity of service providers, as well as raising public awareness on life and death issues.  He/She is expected to involve in coordination of data collection of evaluation studies on services and educational activities related to end-of-life care, liaison with NGO partners and collaborators, data analysis and report preparation, supervising junior research assistants, manuscript preparation and other research-related duties as assigned.
