£30942 to £40322 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited to join the Centre for Social Work team at the University of Nottingham as a Teaching Associate. The Centre for Social Work forms part of the School of Sociology and Social Policy (SSP) which is a vibrant, diverse and exciting hub for social science teaching and research. 

The Centre for Social Work offers Social Work England (SWE)-accredited undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes and is an active member of the D2N2 Social Work Teaching Partnership. We are looking for an enthusiastic person who has social work practice experience and a passion for teaching and working with students. Applicants should be a qualified social worker and, either registered, or eligible to be registered, with SWE. 

The successful candidate will have responsibility for organising, developing and delivering teaching and assessment across both the BA and MA Social Work programmes. They will also be expected to provide tutoring for students across both programmes and take an active role in course administration. 

This post is offered on a full-time, fixed contract for until 31 July 2025. Applications are welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum of 0.8 FTE, 29 hours per week).
