Title Visiting Assistant Professor of Technical Direction

Position Summary

The Indiana University Department of Theatre, Drama, and Contemporary Dance is currently seeking a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Technical Direction to teach graduate and undergraduate courses.

Candidates will teach formal courses and serve as additional advisor on department productions. which include theatre, musical theatre and contemporary dance.

Qualifications include proficiency in AutoCAD, able to learn/teach using established drafting template, highly organized, positive collaborator among a group of artists and technicians, excellent one-on-one with students, experience in stage automation preferred but not required.

Requirements include MFA in Scenic Technology and/or comparable professional experience. Experience teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students preferred but not required.
