Position Summary

The Physics Department at Indiana University invites applications from qualified individuals for a Visiting Lecturer position, starting in fall 2021. This is a two-year position. Our department offers BS, BA, and PhD degree programs, as well as a variety of introductory courses for non-majors. The teaching responsibility in this position will involve instruction in 5 courses per academic year, and will include offerings at several levels within our curriculum. The search is open to applicants from any area of Physics, however the teaching responsibilities each semester will include a specialized course in science for elementary education majors, and therefore applicants with an expressed interest in or experience with Physics Education Research or outreach to non-specialized audiences will be of particular interest. The successful candidate will be encouraged to participate in the scholarly life of the department and will have access to campus and departmental resources to support their teaching. Basic Qualifications

Applicants should have an MS or PhD in Physics or a related field, and previous teaching experience is strongly preferred but not a requirement.
